日本語はこちらHVC KYOTO is a start-up growth support program centered on one of the largest healthcare-specific pitch events in Japan.In total, 140 start-ups have participated in the event since 2016, and the total amount of funding raised after pitching at the main event has exceeded USD 185 million. The post events are opportunities for these Alumni to present the latest trends in business and research.This one, entitled 'Alumni Showcase - Regenerative Medicine Edition', invited three high-profile start-ups. In addition, Arexpo s.p.a. of Milan, Italy, which has concluded an MOU with Kyoto Research Park Corp., will introduce the MIND Milano Innovation District, a science park developed on the site of the former Expo. Yasumichi Hitoshi, M.D.CEO, Thyas Co., Ltd. Yasumichi Hitoshi is CEO at Thyas Co. Ltd, Kyoto (2017~), where he directs R&D activities for adoptive immunotherapy with induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived immune cells for the treatment of cancers. He has expertise in immunology, oncology, cell therapy and drug development.  Earlier in his career, he gained extensive experience in small molecule drug development for cancers and metabolic diseases at Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc., California, U.S.A (1998~2016), and worked as an assistant professor in Kumamoto University School of Medicine (1991~1992) and Institute of Medical Science, the University of Tokyo (1992~1995).  He received MD at Kumamoto University School of Medicine, Kumamoto (1987), Japan and his Ph.D. in Immunology from Kumamoto University (1991).  He has completed postdoctoral training at Stanford University (1995~1998). She began her carrier at Metcela as a full-time intern fresh out of university in the United States before pursuing her master’s degree at the University of Tokyo.
