MODELLING AN IMPACTFUL GROUND-UP APPROACH TO END POVERTY IN CAMBODIA

Description

Aileen Ong, the founder of Solutions to End Poverty (STEP), will be sharing insights on her multi-dimensional work in the creation of Smile Village in Cambodia. Smile Village is a 71-home development programme aimed to overcome poverty faced by slum dwellers. The sharing will explore her multi-pronged approach which includes enterprises, asset-based community development, debt refinancing and risk management.

The talk focuses on the following UN Sustainable Development Goals:

1. No Poverty

2. Decent Work and Economic Growth
