Therefore, "Kuromoji is full of many charms.     Many of the kuromoji were discarded in the old days.However, people nowadays change their minds to preserve Kuromoji trees as a local resource so anyone can be familiar with this plant used for various purposes.As we (NPO Nishitama) are also a part of them, we would like to introduce kuromoji as "Tokyo Kuromoji" to people to expand kuromoji as one of the new tour contents by offering this monitoring tour including experience of the Kuromoji workshop.If you are interested in organic herbs, Japanese domestic herbs, or interested in activities to protect local resources, please join the tour.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <Tour details> Dates and Times:4 Oct, 11:30am – 5 Oct, 5:00pm(Duration: 2 Days)Destination:Akiruno-city, Hinohara Village in Western Tokyo.Departure & Return Points:Meet at Musashi-Ichikaichi station (JR line) in Tokyo at 11:30 am(Address: Tateyadai, Akiruno-city, Tokyo 190-0166)Map: https://g.co/kgs/ZLgCbw Concludes at Musashi-Itsukaichi station (JR line) in Tokyo at approximately 5:30 pmFee:FREE of charge as this is a monitor tour.*All participants will be asked to fill out the questionnaire at the end of the tour.<<Paid Option>>10,000 yen per person for staying in Kabutoya Ryokan (Up to 2 persons aimed for understanding of Japanese) *The fee must be paid at check-in on the first day.〇About Kabtoya Ryokan〇It is a Japanese-style inn located at an altitude of 750 meters in a mountain of Tokyo. The traditional Japanese architectural structure, including the thatched roof, called Kabuto-style as the shape looks like a Kabuto (a helmet of Japanese warriors), and irori fireplaces, would rest your mind.  Participants:・Limited to 8 individuals. ・For accommodation, choose either a wooden lodge or the Japanese-style inn    for an additional cost of 10,000 yen (Tax included).  *Both accommodations are located in Hinohara Village, Western Tokyo.Cottage: Foresting Cottage (http://www.tanaka-forestry.co.jp/cottage/)**All facilities will be shared with other participants during the stay.**There' s no beds in the cottage - Futon will be prepared for each for sleeping.  The Japanse-style inn: Kabutoya Ryokan (https://www.kabutoya.net/)  **The irori fireplace and the private bath will be available in your room.  **Japanese-speaking would be preferred because English-speaking guide will not be available at the inn.  Note:・Advanced bookings are necessary and places are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.・Bookings may be refused once the required numbers have been reached.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <Itinerary> ~Day 1~11:30 am  Meet at JR Musashi-Itsukaichi station.               *All participants will be asked to submit the pre-consultation check sheet                and to measure body temperature in order to prevent the spreading of COVID-19 after check-in.11:45 am  Traditional Japanese course Lunch at Konoka.1:30 pm    Explore a mountain forest in Hinohara village and find the wild spicebush.                Experience the spicebush workshop                ・Spicebush distilling to make the herbal water                ・Make the herbal tea using spicebush                ・Make your original bath salt using aromatic herbs from the forest  [For participants staying in the foresting cottage]4:00 pm    Pizza making using aromatic herbs picked from the forest.Evening    A short night walk in the mountain forest. [For participants staying in Kabutoya Ryokan]4:00 pm  Transfer to Kabutoya Ryokan with staff by taxi.Evening   Take the facility tour with the owner.              Dinner at an Irori fireplace in your room.            **You can select one of the following dinner courses:               -Dishes prepared from sesonal wild plants and the Japanese style BBQ                 (landlocked salmon, beef, chicken grilled on Irori)               -Dishes prepared from sesonal wild plants and wild boar miso hotpot **The pics are examples***~Day 2~10:15 am  Visit a traditional folk house located at an altitude of 750 meters by a small monorail car.      12:30 pm  Enjoy lunch at a traditional old folk house.
