Community Gallery Tours: Discover Kreta Ayer’s Food Heritage (English)Physical programme (2 runs of the same tour) 27 August 2022, 2pm to 3:30pm27 August 2022, 2:30pm to 4pmWithin Singapore’s largest historic district of Chinatown lies Kreta Ayer, which plays host to a famed food culture that spans generations. Join us on this exciting walking tour to visit a selection of the precinct’s notable food shops and stalls and learn about their gourmet heritage!This session is open to all ages and will be conducted in English. Kindly note that there will not be any food tasting during the tour.Starting point: Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery (28 Kreta Ayer Rd, Level 1 Kreta Ayer CC, Singapore 088995)Ending point: Chinatown ComplexPlease note that it is mandatory for all participants to wear face masks while indoors at our gallery. We strongly encourage all participants to wear face masks throughout the tour for their personal protection.Tour Instructions: Pre-registration is required for this walking tour. Please present your electronic or printed ticket as proof of registration. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Each tour is limited to 20 pax. Dress in comfortable clothing and walking shoes, and an umbrella/raincoat in the event of wet weather. Please note that the tour route may require participants to climb stairs/steep surfaces. Bring your own earpieces/earphones for use during the tour.  Participants should arrive at the starting point 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour. Parents/guardians must accompany any child under the age of 12. Disclaimer: By agreeing to join the tour, each participant shall be responsible for any injury, loss or damage due to carelessness of other actions on his/her part or that of children under his/her charge. The tour will begin on time and participants who are late may not be able to join the tour. Tickets are non-transferable. Photographs may be taken for marketing and publicity purposes. Cash payment is strictly not accepted. No refund/exchange of tickets is allowed under any circumstance except for tour cancellation. Tour Cancellation: The tour will proceed in the event of wet weather, and all participants are advised to bring an umbrella/raincoat. The tour may, however, be cancelled due to inclement weather (e.g. hazardous haze conditions, flooding etc.) or due to other unforeseen circumstances affecting the tour (e.g. road closures etc.). In the event of tour cancellation, participants will be informed via Peatix message at least one day in advance. In such cases, participants will receive a full refund via Peatix.
