About the workshop host, Saras Manickam:Saras Manickam is a Malaysian short story writer. Her stories have appeared in Malaysian anthologies such as Silverfish New Writing (2006 and 2008); and Readings from Readings (2011 and 2012). In 2017, her story, ‘Charan’ won the DK Dutt Memorial Award for Literary Excellence. In 2019, her story, ‘My Mother Pattu’ won the regional prize for Asia in the Commonwealth Short Story Contest.
