What better way to celebrate this than to share our love for batik.Following our successful regional batik seminar in 2021, Jauh Dikenang Dekat Disayang is back this year! While we looked at batik craftsmen and the batik-making process last year, this year shines the spotlight on fashion. How was batik worn in the 50s and 60s? What draws men to pick a batik cloth? How do women wear their batiks? At the same time, we want to have conversations with our friends in a new series called Kawan Kita where casual yet necessary conversations take place. There will be live sessions at Galeri Tokokita, online discussions, product launches and more. We hope you can join us as we embrace our shared heritage and culture through batik. Jauh Dikenang Dekat Disayang.
