In celebration of Festival Bangsawan Singapura, Gendang Akustika presents Malam Dendang Warisan, an orchestral concert of Bangsawan music from the past and a rehash of familiar tunes in traditional contemporary styles. For the first time, Gendang Akustika will also perform its own songs such as 'Joget Kota Singa' and 'Di Tanah Itu', songs that are expected to be the tune and the traditional successor to the heritage of our nation and country. In view of the latest weather forecast for early August, and to facilitate with proper seating arrangements for our senior patrons watching the show, the production will now be performed INDOORS in the comfort of the Auditorium of the Malay Heritage Centre (Taman Warisan Melayu), Kampung Gelam. There will be proper seatings for ALL patrons coming to watch the show in the airconditioned Auditorium space. This also eliminates the possibility of any show cancellations due to inclement weather conditions.IMPORTANT NOTES:- Children aged 6 to 10, accompanied by parents or family members enter the show for free.- Children coming in school groups, full ticket pricing applies.- Please refrain from bringing in children aged 5 and under into the Auditorium.- Warm clothings may be recommended.- No food and drinks allowed in the Auditorium. Thank you.
