Global Digicon Salon 019大規模通信障害が招く社会インフラの崩壊緊急通報もIoTもこのままでは危ない！Collapse of social infrastructure caused by large-scale communication failureEmergency calls and IoT are dangerous as they are!2022.7.24（Sun）10:00-12:00（日本時間） 7.23（Sat）18:00-20:00（UTC-7）第19回めとなる 「グローバル・デジコンサロン 019」は、日本時間（JST）で2022年7月24日（日）10:00〜12:00、米国西海岸時間（UTC-7）で2022年7月23日（土）18:00〜20:00、グローバルなスケールで開催します。テーマは「 大規模通信障害が招く社会インフラの崩壊〜緊急通報もIoTもこのままでは危ない！」です。2022年7月に起きたKDDIの大規模通信障害は、完全復旧するまでに86時間を要し、私たちにとって必要不可欠な社会インフラが、簡単に止まってしまい、なかなか復旧しない、とても脆弱なものであるという現実を目の当たりにしました。同様の大規模通信障害は、NTTドコモもソフトバンクも引き起こしており、今回のこの問題は、ひとりKDDIだけの問題というわけではなく、現在のモバイル・インターネットを基軸とした社会インフラそのものが抱える大問題だと考えられます。そこにどのような課題があり、どうすれば被害をなくす、あるいは最小限に留められるのか、国や通信事業者に任せっきりにするのではなく、私たち自身がきちんと理解し、対処法を考えることが重要ではないかと痛感させられました。また、ロシアによるウクライナ侵攻は、社会インフラを意図的に攻撃する破壊者の存在を明らかにし、この問題を安全保障の観点から論じる必要性もあります。そこで、今回のGlobal Digicon Salonでは、この分野のスペシャリストである元『日経パソコン／日経MAC』編集長の林伸夫さん、国立研究開発法人情報通信研究機構 主席研究員の伊東寛さん、株式会社インターネットイニシアティブ(IIJ) 広報部 副部長 兼 テクノロジーユニット シニアエンジニアの堂前清隆さん、株式会社インフォシティ代表取締役の岩浪剛太さんの4人をパネリストとしてお招きして、とりわけ喫緊の課題である「緊急通報」と「IoT（モノのインターネット）」について、どうすれば堅牢で安心して活用できる未来の社会インフラを構築することができるか、ディスカッションしていきたいと思います。The 19th "Global Digicon Salon 019" will be held a global scale on July 24, 2022 10:00-12:00 (JST), and July 23, 2022 (Sat) 18:00-20:00 (UTC-7).
