The Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra (ACSO) is finally back in full force! During the past 2 years, ACSO has remained very active, providing our musicians with multiple platforms to still perform and constantly create new works that aim to promote our Singaporean multi-cultural aspect of music. Now that we are able to come back in larger and fuller settings, we hope to use this opportunity to celebrate a little milestone of ours, our 5th anniversary, with the hope for many years to come thereafter.In this celebratory concert, the musicians of ACSO will reunite back on stage to perform notable and newly commissioned concertos by our acclaimed local composers. Joining us will be some of Singapore's celebrated instrumentalists, such as Govin Tan (Tabla), Ralph Emmanuel Lim (Clarinet), Yvonne Tay (Guzheng), Niranjan Pandian (Bansuri), Jacky Ng (Suona) and Azrin Abdullah (Oud). Singapore’s 2021 Cultural Medallion recipient Rahimah Rahim will also return to serenade with the ACSO once again.Program Highlights include:WANG CHEN WEI ConfluenceWANG DAN HONG As Thus (Guzheng soloist: Yvonne Tay)EDMUND SONG Triple Concertino with Orchestra (Bansuri soloist: Niranjan Pandian / Suona soloist: Jacky Ng / Oud soloist: Azrin Abdullah)GERMAINE GOH Kaleidoscope, Fantasy for Clarinet and Orchestra (Clarinet soloist: Ralph Lim)ERIC WATSON Dialogue for Tabla and Orchestra This will be a concert of new works, new sounds, with an array of exciting soloists for the audience. Refunds will not be granted to ticket-holders who do not meet these admission requirements. To ensure sufficient time for admission and safe distancing, please arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before the start of the concert. All tickets holders are required to check in to SafeEntry through either scanning the QR code using the TraceTogether App on their phone, or by presenting their TraceTogether to be scanned, with a valid photo ID. Latecomers will only be admitted at suitable breaks, if any. No changing of seats is allowed.
