Sun-Printing Workshop with Kabul & Mintio

Husband and wife artist team from Bali-Singapore
Attune your senses with nature and create works of art inspired by Haw Par Villa in this Sun-printing workshop together with artists Kabul & Mintio. Sun-printing or cyanotype printing is an early photographic printing process that produces images with the exposure of UV light. Instead of using paper, this alternative printing workshop will let you have a chance to work with fabric and understand the science of this process. Participants will get to create and take home a personalized 20 x 20 cm Haw Par Villa collage from photo-negatives of the park. Parent-child teams are most welcomed!

About the Artists

Kabul (Budi Agung Kuswara) & Mintio (Samantha Tio) is a husband/wife artist team from Bali and Singapore. Having worked together in their relational project "The Wax on Our Fingers" now in exhibit at the Baba House of the NUS Museum, the couple have researched extensively on using cyanotype printing together with batik. Kabul & Mintio individually have created artworks that have been exhibited in beyond their shores in countries like Japan, Korea, UK, Italy, USA & the Philippines. Together they are interested in creative experiences with the communities and the public, extending their art-making process beyond the studio.
