He graduated from the National University of Singapore with the Board of Architects Award for Best Final Year Thesis in 1993. He founded his architectural practice, ARC Studio with his wife Belinda Huang in 1998. Their works are process driven and have earned a reputation for being dynamic and innovative. He brings to all his work a research based approach to design and believes firmly that a well-designed environment can promote overall well-being, a sense of belonging and meaning to the community. His transformational work the Pinnacle@Duxton has redefined high rise high density public housing and shown that living closer together can be sustainable, green and even fun. The project has won prestigious awards like the WAF Best Residential Building in the world, FIABCI Prix d’ Excellence Awards, and Singapore’s President Design Award. Peng Beng continues to develop his ideas for projects that balances our planets, the impact of human lives on support systems with a rich and stable quality of life for all.He will discuss ARC Studio’s human centred design approach in making our cities greener and happier. He will be offering ARC Studio’s perspective on Sustainability through the following: 1.  Design in the anthropocene 2.  Nature and architecture 3.  Happy cities Topic 2: Merging of Art & Technology in Design Presented by Amy Picanço, Managing Director & Founder, Aym Design Amy originally trained as an Interior Architect in the UK, but became deeply inspired by the diverse mix of cultures and styles that Asia offered. After a move to Singapore she finally founded Aym Design in 2013. Over the past 4 years, Aym Design has built up a team and established a reliable reputation for creating highly efficient planning solutions and branded office concepts. Now the studio is branching out into the residential market and has worked on several high-end residential clients in Singapore, Thailand and Sydney.
