Through these workshops, participants will experience why Parkour is suitable for all ages, genders and lifestyles, whether you are an office worker, an occasional brisk walker or fitness enthusiast. You will discover a new world of freedom and confidence in movement, which will in due time positively transform your health. What to BringAll you need are comfortable sports attire and shoes (most practitioners prefer sweatpants) and sufficient water for hydration. You can also bring bathing necessities (for workshops #2 and #3) and a spare set of clothes to change into if necessary.StoryThe word Parkour often brings to mind images of people flipping and jumping off rooftops, as well as feelings of excitement, fear and adrenaline. "It's stupidly dangerous", "I'm not young anymore and I don't want any trouble", "Parkour is only for the fit and daredevils" are very common public perceptions, but that is very much misguided. Being one of the fastest growing disciplines in the world, Parkour soared to the international stage in just under 30 years. It is no surprise that its original values could not fully keep up with the global surge, but we are here to change that.Through progressive training and a holistic approach steeped in the founders' values, Coach Fagan Cheong is here to show Singapore that Parkour, a powerful tool to a healthy and happy life, can be for anyone willing to rediscover his or her boundaries.Founder's Values'We Start Together, We Finish Together' - Leave no one behind, achieve through group effort'To Be Strong To Be Useful' - Constantly improve for others'To Be And To Last' - Train for longevityA pioneer of the Parkour scene in Singapore, Fagan is a seasoned, respected and highly knowledgeable practitioner of 14 years. He is also the first in Singapore to be an internationally recognized A.D.A.P.T Level 2 Art Du Deplacement and Parkour Full Coach, and has coached in various countries including Malaysia, Korea and France (Courchevel). After having many opportunities over the years to train with original founders Chau Belle, Laurent Piemontesi, Yann Hnautra and Williams Belle from the Yamakasi, as well as pioneers like Stephane Vigroux and Dan Edwardes, Fagan has grown abundantly in the discipline and hopes to affect positive changes in budding practitioners. He believes that the learning never stops, and is always seeking to improve himself, and to find ways to share the fruit of his journey. He has dedicated his career to sharing his experience and love for the discipline and art form that has nurtured him 'to be strong to be useful’.
