Over 100 partners have joined together to support this movement. Every Apple Store in the world has hosted an Hour of Code. President Obama wrote his first line of code as part of the campaign. Why computer science?Every student should have the opportunity to learn computer science. It helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity. By starting early, students will have a foundation for success in any 21st-century career path. How much can one learn in an hour? The goal of the Hour of Code is not to teach anybody to become an expert computer scientist in one hour. Instead, the one hour is the start of a journey to learn that computer science is fun and creative and; that it is accessible for students of all ages, regardless of background. The measure of success of this campaign is not in how much coding students learn - it is reflected in broad participation across gender, ethnic and socioeconomic groups, and the resulting increase in enrolment and participation seen in CS courses at all levels. So, join us for an #hourofcode and see what's possible. Using resources from Code.org, we would like to introduce students to coding. They can learn how to code and fuel their passion to create amazing things like games, apps, and emojis. This event is open to all students aged 7 to 13. Parents and teachers are encouraged to sign up for their kids and students to participate in Hour of Code event.Hour of Code is organized by Code.org - dedicated to expanding participation in computer science by making it available in more schools and increasing participation by women and other underrepresented students.Do your Hour of Code with us!*This is a kids event.
