Humble Beginnings - T'ang Quartet at 30!Singapore's pre-eminent string quartet, The T’ang Quartet, is marking its 30th year with the first concert of the year on Friday 22 April 2022 at the Victoria Concert Hall!The T’ang Quartet will begin the celebration of their 30th year with a programme that goes back to their humble beginnings; their intent distilled in their selections of 2 string quartet works - one by "Papa" Haydn, an Austrian composer of the Classical era recognised for his prolific contributions in developing the string quartet genre, and Alexander Borodin, a composer, doctor and chemist best known for his two string quartets, the symphonic poem 'In the Steppes of Central Asia', and his opera 'Prince Igor'.Programme:Joseph Haydn (1732 – 1809)String Quartet Op.76 No.2 “Fifths”-15 mins intermission-Alexander Borodin (1833 – 1887)String Quartet No.2 in D Major- Latecomers will not be admitted until appropriate break or intermission.- No infants in arms and children below 6 years old.- Audience may take photos (without flash) and videos when artists are not performing, e.g. during bows and applause.- No food and drinks allowed in the Venue.- No refund of ticket under any circumstances.
