Sip on freshly brewed ginger tea, sample homemade coconut candy and get up close with murungakkai, incomparable tulsi, gourds and more.Join Kamini Ramachandran and Nova Nelson for an evening stroll through the garden and explore different plants, natural remedies and produce as Kamini shares South Indian folktales inspired by food and eating, while Nova shares insights on ingredients and condiments used in Indian food preparation in this interactive trail.Be seated within the garden setting as you partake in hot tea and a sweet snack and ingredients used for Aviyal, and get to take home a bag of seeds to start your farm-to-table journey.About the ArtistsKamini Ramachandran Kamini is known for her site-specific storytelling experiences and her repertoire of Asian folklore. Her work is influenced by her childhood growing up in the jungles of Malaysia and her connection with the natural environment. Through Moonshadow Stories she spearheaded performance storytelling for adult audiences in Singapore. She founded The Storytelling Centre Ltd to advance the art of storytelling through the Young Storytellers Mentorship Programme and the annual StoryFest Singapore. Nova NelsonNova is a Permaculture Designer, a gardening coach, community farmer and educator. In 2013 she started Cultivate Central as a blog about her journey in Permaculture Design. Her work has reached over 8000 students through gardening based educational programmes, 500 educators and building over a dozen productive food spaces.
