The world of entrepreneurship in Japan is still largely untapped, which means it's a field where women have scope to shine. It's also an area that has potential to directly benefit women through activities that can change society for the better. This joint event between FAJ and CIC will dive into the importance of entrepreneurship and venture capital in Japan with panelists who are leaders in this field. Kathy Matsui and Yumiko Murakami are two of the founders of MPower Partners, an investment firm that aims to identify and support promising new innovations and address societal challenges, and Paul McInerney is a general partner at Incubate Fund. Mariko McTier is co-founder of both mymizu and Social Innovation Japan. Yukiko Iyo is President and CEO of RABO Inc., and Lalla Soundous Elkhaili is managing director of MediCo Ltd. / AI. Detect. Prior to the OECD, she worked for 20 years in the global financial industry, mostly as a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs in New York, London and Tokyo. She is a leading authority on a wide range of economic policy issues such as corporate governance, tax guidelines, diversity, education, trade and innovation. She sits on several Government advisory panels, including Prime Minister Kishida’s panel on “the New Form of Capitalism”.
