About The Orchard Rd precinct is notable for many things, one of which that it is heavily planned and structured in service to all manners of shopping and the glorious celebration of consumer capitalism. But yet, some of the most vibrant parts of the precinct are the result of communities defying this planning to create space for themselves. Roy founded Singapore’s original juggling club in The Substation Garden and was part of Mime Unlimited. Roy has not busked since the pandemic hit.Becca D’Bus, Drag Queen, Co-Creative Director, The Non SeasonBorn at the age of 27 in Boston, Becca D’Bus is Singapore’s biggest drag queen. She is the producer and host of Commotion, the only regular drag revue in Singapore, happening every Monday and Tuesday at The Projector. She enjoys making meaning through entertainment, garments, performance and organizing. In the times before the pandemic, Becca was also a producer and host of The Glory Hoes present film parties, and her drag revue series RIOT!.
