This public lecture is part of the "Be Inspired" programme at A Good Space - a community-curated public space at NVPC, co-hosted by Founding Curator Anthea Ong.It aims to transform ordinary spaces into places of purpose by convening catalysts of change to invent, innovate, intersect and inspire communities through a variety of events, experiential simulations, activities, film screenings and more.==Put a little SALT into your life!Have you ever experienced being in an organization where you felt that there was a lot of potential, but most of it was allowed to wither, die and be discarded? Where things seemed broken, uninspired, relationships fraught? I guess many of us have been there.On this very special evening Jean-Louis Lamboray, author or “What Makes us Human?” and one of the co-founders of The Constellation, will talk about how he and others have been instrumental in transforming the lives of many communities and organizations around the world. The process they devised and used is called SALT (Stimulate-Appreciate-Learn-Transfer), an approach that can be applied to any type of group of people to help them find THEIR response to whatever they need to flourish. Inspired by communities that mobilized their own strengths to overcome their life challenges, Jean-Louis Lamboray quit UNAIDS which he had a co-founded to launch the Constellation. As Chair of the Constellation, his work has been deeply shaped by the power of a positive outlook of people and their situations. Such power transformed his own way of being to the world. As the barriers between work and life shattered, he experienced with great joy how the power of appreciation spread in his own family. He now lives in Belgium for a world where communities, families, and individuals become aware of their potential and fully deploy it to realize their dreams. About the Constellation:The Constellation is a registered Belgian non-profit organisation founded in 2005.
