Our evening trail experience includes a variety of live demonstrations, and hands-on activities which will give you a deeper understanding of Pongal. Start the trail at IHC to learn more about the 4 days of this harvest festival. PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS:- Soaking in the festivities at the colourful and vibrant Pongal market along Campbell Lane- Learn the art of thoranam tying, in a nature setting- Receive a DIY Kolam kit- Learn a Indian Folk dance, kollattam (stick dance)- Bring home a sweet pongal sampleWHY JOIN?Heighten your senses with the festivities at Campbell Lane, experience the many activities that make up the rich Pongal experience, and learn the significance of Pongal and how it is celebrated specifically in Singapore! What kind of COVID-19 precautions are in place for this activity?Number of participants will be limited, and tables will be sanitised before and after each session. No materials will be cross shared among participants.All participants will be required to sanitise their hands before the workshop, fill in a Contact Tracing form, always wear a mask, and avoid mingling beyond their group.Vaccination-differentiated safe management measuresPlease note that vaccination-differentiated safe management measures (VDS) have been implemented for entry to museums. Individuals will be allowed entry in group sizes up to 5 persons if all are vaccinated. Children ages 12 years and below, recovered individuals, and unvaccinated individuals with a negative Pre-Event Test (PET) result, can be included in the groups of 5. If there is more than one child age 12 or below in the group of 5 persons, both children must be from the same household. You will be required to present your TraceTogether app or token, or any of the following documents (which may be relevant) for entry:i. Vaccination status and test result on the HealthHub Appii. Physical vaccination certificates/reports/cards under the National Vaccination Programmeiii. Physical ART of PCR result slips from MOH-approved COVID-19 test providersiv. How many friends/family members can I attend with?Participants will only be able to attend the workshop in groups of 5, as required by the current Safe Management Measures. Participants will be required to remain in their groups of 5 and avoid mingling with other attendees.3. What materials will I receive for the tour?Participants will receive all necessary materials for the tour.4. How old must I be to participate in this tour?You must be at least 7 years old to attend this tour. Please note that we will turn away anyone who is younger than 7 years old.5.
