Nowadays, more and more Kyoto-based companies are embracing the idea of hiring foreign-born software engineers, with a huge pool of global talent to source from.This panel discussion will focus on expectations and challenges of hiring software engineers, support offered by companies, remote work and much more. Keynote session will be delivered by Sasha Kaverina, a Community and Event Manager at Le Wagon coding bootcamps that has been producing high-calibre engineers in Japan since 2016. We will have engineering hiring managers (CTOs, etc.) from four Kyoto startups joining as guest speakers for a panel talk. The company was established in March 2021 and is currently based in Kyoto, Kamakura, and Hanoi, Vietnam. It has developed a VOC platform for the purpose of DXing local governments, DMOs, and smart city projects by interacting with local residents and tourists to develop measures based on their voices and verify their effectiveness. We are implementing a social VOC platform project to promote autonomous motivation and sustainable behavioral change among farmers by streamlining the use of data collection and marketing.
