Note: This tour is full, you may send us your contact information by filling this form to receive invitations to programmes for the Deaf and Hard of hearing community in the future. Join us for a Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) interpreted tour of Present Realms by SAM’s assistant curator Andrea Fam with an interpreter from Equal Dreams.  This programme will be delivered in spoken English with Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) interpretation, and is intended primarily for the Deaf and Hard of hearing individuals.   Please note that only fully vaccinated visitors may join this tour. Participants are required to collect their entry sticker at Level 1 before gathering at the meeting point near the ticketing counter. Do look out for SAM staff with a sign “Access Tour of Present Realms”.    Due to safe management measures, staff will bring participants up to the presentation space in small groups, as such, please arrive at least 10 mins before the start of the tour.   This tour is suitable for participants aged 17 and above.  About the presentation and SAM Residencies  Present Realms is the presentation of SAM’s pilot Residency Programme which took place from January to May 2021. The programme provided a shared and interactive working environment for the mushrooming of ideas, works-in-progress, and research.    Hinging upon themes of intimacy and infrastructure, the three Residents—Chu Hao Pei, Salty Xi Jie Ng, and Johann Yamin—present their continued explorations into varied topics of interest spanning rice, rituals, and gaming. The presentation extends the exchanges the Residents had during their time in residence and invites visitors to participate in developing the Residents’ research.    To read more about the 3 artists in SAM’s pilot Residency programme, click here.  Photography and videography Please note that there will be photography and videography at the event.
