Fundraising Basics for Early Stage Companies
Join the Female Founders workshop on Fundraising Basics for Early Stage Companies.
Access to capital is the #1 challenge women face in starting a business. Women-led companies make up just 4.94% of all VC deals globally in 2016 (with an average deal size of $4.5 million vs. $10.9 million per deal for male founders).
The program, led by Vesi Kertikova and accompanied by two Singapore-based entrepreneurs will focus on considerations to bear in mind when fundraising and address key questions such as:
At what stage do you think a company should raise funding?
How to proceed once you decide that you want to raise funding?
How do you figure out what your valuation should be?
What are the qualities you look for in a founder / founding team?
How should founders decide how to allocate equity between them and investors
The specific challenges of women entrepreneurs
