NMS130 Dramatised Tour
One hundred and thirty years ago, the National Museum of Singapore opened the doors of its beautiful, neo-classical building, showcasing a collection of books and colonial products from Singapore and the region. Over the years it expanded and shifted its focus to the social history of Singapore and the world. Meet special historical characters, get an insight into key milestones of the museum and the nation's history, and discover how the museum grew in tandem with the country. The story begins in 1887 at the Museum’s original building, and will bring you through historical periods when Singapore was a Crown Colony, through the Second World War and until the decade of early independence and industrialisation.
