The workshop will explore the different roles and responsibilities of a producer, some personal producing philosophies and the growing importance of producers in shaping the arts industry. Workshop contents:3-hour workshop:- Introduction- Making Work in Singapore versus the UK- Different names producers go by- Roles & Responsibilities of a Producer- Producing Philosophies - Adaptability, Horizon Scanning, Embracing Risk- Role of Producer in shaping industry - a discussionSpeaker BioMohamad Shaifulbahri (Shai) is a creative producer and arts educator from Singapore who is currently based in London. He holds an MA in Creative Producing from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He was the Founder and Artistic Director of Yellow Chair Productions in Singapore and now serves as Joint Artistic Director of Bhumi Collective, a Singapore-UK performing arts company. IHe was a producing finalist of Project 2036 by the Bush Theatre and is a recent TEDx speaker where he spoke about "Diversifying, Diversity - Tomorrow's Theatre Today".
