Limited seats available.The Main SpeakerPAUL KIRWAN (Senior Compositor from Rising Sun Pictures)With a twenty-year career in visual effects for feature film, Paul Kirwan has worked as a digital artist and supervisor on some of Hollywood’s biggest visual effects movies. His credits include X-Men: Apocalypse, Gravity, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Titanic, Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Working at facilities like Digital Domain, Industrial Light + Magic, Weta, and Rising Sun Pictures, with directors such as Alfonso Cuarón, Peter Jackson, James Cameron and George Miller, he has contributed to four films that have won the Academy Award for Visual Effects.Paul has used Nuke since starting his career on Nuke v1.3 at Digital Domain in California in 1996. In addition to working on film, broadcast and TVC projects, he has run Nuke courses for all levels from beginners to advanced users, both directly to VFX companies, and through undergraduate and postgraduate tertiary degrees.Through his involvement with RSP Education, he teaches Nuke short courses to the public, and contributes to postgraduate courses through the University of South Australia.
