Yet knowing you have a genius within doesn't make picking up a guitar or mic any easier. On the contrary, if we believe that "art" is for "artists" only, we live only as an observer and dreamer. On Weds, Aug 30th evening, you'll hear how these artists found their way to let art into their lives. Unique stories of self-expression, we promise you’ll leave inspired to unleash your own genius! The evening will include an hour of open mic, 3 featured acts (bios below), followed by a lil time for impromptu performances, freestyle, and collaborations. Join us for a shot of creative inspiration, for soulful conversations with old and new friends over coffee/drinks, and for a night that’ll inspire you to unleash your own genius. And as always, feel free to join the artists afterwards to freestyle and create fun music on the fly!Featured Acts:Ray Cheong - Voice/GuitarRay Cheong is Malaysia’s Jazz, Folk, Blues, Rock and Soul Singer-Songwriter/Guitarist; performed over hundreds of venues all over the states in Malaysia and continents of South-East Asia, United Kingdom and Europe; Ray was the Winner of DiGi Celebriteen 2006, one of the CLEO Bachelor 2009, and also the top 100 finalist of Malaysian Idol back in 2004 and 2005.His musical journey became more prominent since he started writing and perform his own tunes in 2008, hence the released of two albums, Ray Cheong - Live in London (2011) and Ray Cheong Trio - Live at No Black Tie [promo CD] (2009). My favorite band of all time .. Steely Dan "(3) Surya - Spoken WordA constant work-in-progress, Surya spends more time writing ads than she does her own life.
