SGEFF Track 1 Ocean - Marine Animals Arts & Crafts workshop

Join Jacquelyn on a fun filled session!

In line with the film screenings of marine life, Artist Jacquelyn Soo has created a humorous marine theme art and craft activity for little ones using recyclable and biodegradable materials.
In the 2 hour long workshop, our young children will be able to learn three simple art & craft activities that were inspired by the film screenings of whales and coral reefs.

They will first create a movable Whale craft item using clothpeg and coloured paper which they can use to tell stories with. Then they can learn to create a 3D whale sculpture made out of brown paperbags and more coloured papers.

Last but not least, they will attempt a coral reef aquarium made from paper plates, coloured papers and markers.

During the workshop, Jacquelyn will share with the children some interesting facts and highlight why whales and coral reefs are important in our eco-system. She will also encourage use of music (sea- sounds and waves) to motivate and provide audio inspiration to the children.
