Let’s celebrate Chinese New Year in Georgia, the country where Stalin was born, where its mountains are much higher than those of the Europe Alps, and where wine making is invented more than 8000 years old ago.
We will get to experience the following:
- ski down 2 of the most upcoming ski destinations of Europe
- trek the snowy forest of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park
- taste the wines from where wine making was invented
- visit the canyons on overhanging walkways
- boat through the colourfully lighted up cave where legendary Amirani was once chained
- see how Stalin has been glorified and not hated
- visit Uplistsikhe an ancient city that was once an important stop on the Silk Road
- visit the vibrant Tbilisi City
We will start off our journey spending a day in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. Visiting Rustaveli Avenue, Metekhi Church, and the monument to Vakhtang Gorgasali, Narikala Fortress, the clock tower of the famous Rezo Gabriadze Theatre and walking down the district of Sulphur bath houses.

The next 2 days we will be skiing or snowboarding down Gadauri. The resorts have slopes for people of all skill level. There is a total of 12 trails, the highest trail point starts at 3250 m, Mount Sadzele.

We will head to Borjomi, the town famous for its healing and naturally sparkling mineral waters. Then start our 4 hours of winter trekking through the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park on snowshoes.

We will then head to another upcoming ski resort Bakuriani where you can try paragliding, snowmobile, skiing, tubing, ice skating, sledging, and many other activities.

We then head to Kutaisi to Kinchkha waterfall, Okatse canyon, Gachedili Canyon, and Prometheus Cave.

We will continue our visit to Stalin Museum, Gori Town where Stalin was born. Also visiting Uplistsikhe, which translates to 'Fortress of the Lord', is an ancient rock-hewn town which played a significant role in Georgian history for over a period of 3,000 years.
