Open Class - IDP:3001 Devising Histories and Contemporary Performance Practices (WWII in Singapore)


Facilitator: Grace Leong (Programme Leader, Learning Enhancement)


This module allows students to generate new material into an original performance of WWII in Singapore. Partnering with the National Museum of Singapore education team, students are guided to create performances at National Museums and other sites of WWII in Singapore.

This module has the following learning outcomes:

1. Students will learn to devise site specific work at public spaces

2. Apply techniques to transcribe war artefacts into artistic expressions, and

3. Exercise documenting artistic processes as self-representation practice.
