Come join Elizabeth, your passionate Peranakan host who has more than 30 years of experience, for this hands-on dessert making workshop - the only one of its kind with 3 amazing desserts at an affordable price. Go home with 3 amazing desserts and the skills to make them yourself at home!
You will first learn to make the Pandan fragranced 'bubor cha cha'. This classic dessert is made with rich coconut milk, sweet potato, yam cubes and chewy tapioca jellies. While the sweet creamy dessert is stewing on the stovetop, grab a bowl of grated tapioca and turn it into the soft delightful tapioca cake.
You will then make one of the most attractive Peranakan dessert - 'kueh genggang' that mirrors some of the colours of the rainbow. Assemble this colourful dessert layer by layer into the impressive 9 layers and get your phones ready to snap some photo-worthy pictures!
All through your dessert making class, Elizabeth will share more about the interesting Peranakan culture and show you her impressive collection of traditional Peranakan trinkets.
