We’re lucky to have worked on many art commissions directly inspired by orchids for companies such as Risis, Clarins, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies, so we look forward to sharing our love of orchids with you. Upon early arrival at 215pm, Lucinda will first take you on a mini orchid identification tour at the latest Orchid Extravaganza floral show at the Flower dome to select your floral inspiration for the day. Returning to our “classroom”– the beautiful terrace at Pollen Restaurant, she’ll show you how to paint these spectacular exotic blooms using Faber-Castell's Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils and basic watercolour techniques to create beautiful floral art, as well as, celebrate Singapore's birthday in advance. In this sub 20-degrees conservatory setting, guests are treated to a choice of tea/coffee and a slice of tart /cake after the workshop at Pollen, followed by a complimentary visit to the Flower Dome to see the Orchids floral display. This workshop is hosted and conducted by Lucinda Law, a botanical watercolour artist (MAFA) and an arts/design educator for more than 14 years. She has worked on commissioned works and designed bespoke nature-led creative workshops/retreats for clients such as Chanel, Bentley, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Harper’s Bazaar SG/India, Kate Spade and Uniqlo. She is the first artist to be appointed as the Art & Graphic Ambassador for Faber-Castell Singapore. Orchids are one of her all-time botanical muses and she’ll be in Chiang Mai in August to conduct her 2nd creative retreat in collaboration with Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens, and to learn more about the wild fascinating ways of orchids and nature in the Mae Rim Valley.
