Adiwiraku is based on a true story of a teacher, Cheryl
Ann Fernando & her struggles teaching at a rural school in Kedah. Shot
entirely in Sungai Petani, Adiwiraku
brings to life the story of SMK Pinang Tunggal & how its students worked
towards a choral speaking competition. The story not only probes into the low
proficiency of English language amongst Malay students in rural schools but
most importantly, through the side plots, we realize how social problems &
poverty robs them in getting proper education. It makes us think in what way we
can help to make sure that quality education reaches the unfortunate. This is
an underdog story that will inspire our kids to be strong in will & strike
out for success if only they want it badly enough & are determine to get
it. Pain is temporary but pride is forever.
