experience has never been seen in any guidebook!
Would you
like to experience being a Gagaku musician, wearing traditional costumes and
playing genuine instruments?The Japanese
traditional performing art of “Gagaku” is a word that most Japanese have heard
at least once. Do you know about the history and sound of Gagaku?
Gagaku has
over 1,300 years of history and was registered on the UNESCO Representative
List of “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.”
The Gagaku
performing arts were originally introduced to Japan from China and the Korean
Peninsula in ancient times, however have all but disappeared from those areas
due to being an oral tradition and through wars. So, it is true to say that Japanese
Gagaku is the oldest existing form of Gagaku in the world.
Gagaku is
performed at important events and ceremonies for the Imperial Household and it has deep
relations and connections with Shinto shrines.
Would you like
to touch and feel Japanese culture that has been passed down from ancient
times?
We present
you with an authentic tour to experience ancient Gagaku dance and practicing instruments?
After getting
an image of Gagaku by listening and watching a real performance, next is your
turnYou will practice with genuine
instruments, and then at the end of the lesson play in an actual Gagaku performance
wearing real costumes.Please
take this opportunity to join us! Review Name: Miyabi I love Japanese
culture so I attended this “Bunpaku” tour.I could feel
eternal culture from playing the ancient music carrying a history of over 1,000
years, wearing traditional dance costumes. I think I could understand about
this art much more deeply while connecting to ancient times.
