But what's there to talk about - it's a cemetery, right? Nothing to see or do. Definitely nothing to buy...But if you have never been to Bukit Brown, and have never seen or heard what the fuss is about...Well ... ...spend the morning by doing something different: take a casual walk in Bukit Brown that will introduce you to the history and heritage found in those graves. Listen to the stories of people, of personalities, of stones and stories less told.  And while you walk from person and history to another, listen to Beng as he talks about the plants, the flora and fauna that live within the verdant park.Listen to the lives of people - from coolies to bankers, from landlords to war heroes.  Find out about edible plants and shrubs and kingfishers and monitor lizards.  And hopefully - at then end, appreciate the history,  heritage, flora and fauna found right here in Bukit Brown!Bukit Brown - where stories never cease...-------------------------------------------------------------------------The guided walk starts at 09.00 am and will end by 12.00 pm.Meeting Point: Meeting Point A (Block 2, 5 entrance). Walk towards Sime Road in the direction of Kheam Hock Road until you see Lorong Halwa.From South: Go to Farrer Road MRT and walk to bus-stop #11111 at Farrer Road, in front of Blocks 2 & 3. Take Buses 93, 165, 852, 855. Alight 5 stops later at bus-stop, #41141, just before Singapore Island Country Club (SICC), Adam Road. Cross the bridge, walk towards Sime Road, follow the road until you see Lorong Halwa.By car:Turn in from Lornie Road, to Sime Road. Then, turn left into the first road (block 2,5 entrance), where parking is limited along the roadside. Try to use public transport to get there.
