that Hangeul, the Korean alphabet, was created during the reign of King Sejong during the Joseon Dynasty? Discover Hangeul in this workshop
for beginners.
At the end of this class, you
will be able to write your name in Hangeul, and even read the names of your
Kpop idols.
This
workshop series is suitable for children 5 to 12 years old. Each child
must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Strictly no
exceptions will be made.
Participants
should arrive 15 minutes before the start of the session. Limited spaces are
available.

Do I need
any experience to join this workshop? Is this workshop suitable for my child?
No
experience necessary! This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners. Just
bring an interest in the Korean language. The workshop is suitable for absolute beginners. ACM reserves the right to reject
participants not within the age range (5 to 12 years old), and deposit will be refunded within 24
hours.
What does
the deposit guarantee?
Each registration is for 1 child and 1 adult or guardian. The deposit ensures a space for two participants on 18 June, and all materials for the workshop.
Why is there
a refundable deposit of $10?
As workshop
places are limited, the deposit will be held as a form of commitment from the
registrant. The deposit will be refunded 24 hours after the workshop on 18 June, through Peatix, in the same manner as your payment (e.g. credit card or
Paypal).
Do I need to bring anything?
Worksheets
and pencils will be provided. Just bring along an inquisitive
mind!
Who is the
instructor for this workshop?
The
workshop is conducted by Daehan Korean Language Centre, a language school in
Singapore by native Koreans.
What can I
do before/ after the workshops?
This programme
is part of the Seoul Awesome Weekend
Festival. We have various international performances, craft activities,
and film screenings in store for different age groups. And the best part? Our entire
museum will be free during this programme, including our two special
exhibitions, Joseon Korea and Ghost
Nets of the Ocean.

A refundable deposit of $10 will be collected upon
registration on Peatix. This deposit will be refunded 24 hours after the workshop
on 18 June (standard Credit Card
refund windows apply). In the event of no show, the deposit will be forfeited.
2.
Please be punctual for the registration. We reserve the right to
open spaces for walk-in participants if registrants are late.
