The Social Fairground is a collaboration between APSN and The Local People (TLP) with the support of Singapore Land Authority, aimed at promoting an inclusive society for the special needs community through arts, music, games and sports. With your support, we hope to create a meaningful experience that will lay the foundation for an integrated and inclusive nation.Sports Tele-matchGrab your friend and race through the 100m telematch that is sure to test your strength, skills and speed. In teams of two, work together to navigate a series of missions consisting of balls, ropes, bean bags and arrows. Beat the other teams to earn the champion medal. Are you up for the challenge?Charity Car WashApart from being our Official Venue Sponsor, the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) will contribute to fund-raising efforts at The Social Fairground Charity Car Wash. SLA staff volunteers will be at the car park of 25 Paterson Road to give your car a good scrub. The car wash price of $15 is bundled with 3 hours of parking. (Every additional hour costs $5/hour). We encourage you to come down and support their fundraising efforts, of which 100% of proceeds benefit APSN.About the eventThe Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN) teams up with The Local People (TLP) and Singapore Land Authority to bring you a one of its kind event benefiting a good cause. Browse through the curated stalls at the TLP Art Market, have a go at the carnival games, shop till you drop at the various merchandise stalls or catch performances by local singer-songwriters and APSN’s very own beneficiaries. Feeling hungry? Grab your Made-in-Singapore food at the various artisanal food stalls.You can also participate in the sports events which is reminiscent of the good ol’ school sports day. Participate or cheer on as teams run through an obstacle course designed to test their agility, speed and creativity. There will also be a human library where you will get to interact with a person with special needs; find out their favorite hobby, hopes and dreams. Our aim is to promote a culture of diversity, inclusion and attitudes of acceptance towards persons with special needs through a social platform with arts and sports elements. We aim to raise $200,000 and the amount raised will go towards APSN Centre for Adult’s operational costs, training and programmes.APSN takes great pride in our mission and with your help, we can make a difference to the lives of our special needs beneficiaries.
