It has been a source of life and an extensive irrigation system for South India’s ancient kingdoms and modern cities.Inspired by this great river, Kaveri is a unique dance production that will bring you on a journey to uncover the tales and fables in its rich history, such as that of goddess Kaveri (of whom the river is named after); its significance to the Vaishnavites (worshippers of the god Vishnu); the story of the ancient port city of Pompuhaar; and more.Performed by Bharthaa Arts with choreography by the Kesavan Sisters and concept, music and artistic direction by Aravinth Kumarasamy, an evening of dance storytelling awaits as we celebrate the river’s heritage.
