Specialists, consultants, designers, developers, departments and even dedicated agencies are known to have these magical two letters in front of their name. We've been told time and time again that excellent UX is integral to ensuring customer satisfaction, creating a powerful product or service, and, essentially, the bottom line. But, hold up! First of all, what the heck even is UX, and why is it so important? After our sold out events on social media and remote working, we decided to tackle the mysterious but rewarding world of User Experience for our third event, held at the snazzy Spacemob co-working space, a stone's throw from Orchard MRT. We have three fantastic speakers, each at the top of their game and ready to shed light on what User Experience is.Whether you're working in digital in a multinational, running a start-up, or are simply interested in learning more about UX, you'll walk away with practical tips on how to ensure you give good UX in your role, venture or passion project. How do you implement UX as a start-up into your product or service? Is UX just for websites and apps or does it extend beyond the digital realm? Do I have any hope in working in UX, and how can I get involved? These are just some of the questions we'll be covering off as part of the evening which spans 3 rapidfire talks, breakout sessions and, of course, some informal networking over drinks. The event will be held at spacemob, a coworking space in the heart of Orchard, on June 8 at 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Registration from 7pm with talks beginning at 7.30pm. Fed up with expensive networking nights and empty "business" exchanges we are creating a movement that focuses on genuine knowledge transfer and meaningful conversations. We'd love you for you to join us. Our concept is simple: inspiring speakers; collaborative groups; an informal atmosphere; powered by digital.Three rapidfire talks (with PowerPoint banned!) give a range of perspectives and experiences for you to learn from. Once the talks have concluded we will open up to a Q&A session. If you’re too shy to ask something out loud then don’t stress, following this will be a breakout briefing. We'll split you up into smaller groups and focus on one key area you're interested in to pull apart and discuss. There will be no boring icebreakers like “Hi my name is X and I do Y” – instead we get right into the nitty gritty with our facilitators and speakers to guide you along.
