As it was in the last three volumes, there will be matinee and evening performances in a day.This time, the event features a collaboration with XXX RESIDENTS, a multimedia cosplay group that derived from a project called “UKAWANIMATION!” started by Naohiro Ukawa, who is known as a Japanese contemporary artist, a videographer, a graphic designer, a VJ, a writer, and also as the representative of DOMMUNE. XXX RESIDENTS is the only group that is officially authorised by THE RESIDENTS, or the visual art group from the southern part of US known for its avant-garde and experimental music, who has recently performed in Japan for the first time in 32 years and has also announced a documentary film “Theory of Obscurity: A Film About the Residents” to be shown this summer at Theater Image Forum in Japan. XXX RESIDENTS’ concept is to disassemble, reconstruct, and re-performance the great avant-garde work of the original group as electronic music, and this time in the event, to convert “THE EYE BALL SHOW” or the speciality of THE RESIDENTS into VR. Having experienced shows with Sotaisei Riron and Masakatsu Takagi, this will be the first show in Tokyo since 2012. Naohiro Ukawa is in charge of sound direction, and HAKANA a.k.a Hiroshi Ogawa who is the only original member besides Ukawa is responsible for sound production. Furthermore, Merzbow, a Japanese world-renowned noise musician, Kazuhisa Uchihashi, a daxophone player living in Berlin, Meiling a.k.a ZOMBIE-CHANG, a female new wave artist who produces lyrics, composition, and performance all by herself and also works as a fashion model, CARRE, or a Japanese industrial music duo which NAG and MTR formed, Hajime Kinoko, a distinguished rope artist, and Tsunamayo who is known as a goddess of cosplay will be featured in the show. Kezzadrix and Keijiro Takahashi who are regular performers of VRDG+H, Kita Senju Design who appeared also in the #3 of the series, and Satoru Higa will play as VJs.
