It's a talk for anyone who's interested in the rollercoaster ride that is starting a company with someone else.About Kirk AcevedoBefore starting Zomia, Kirk was a college student and Peace Corps volunteer with the U.S. government in Cambodia. Frustrated with the lack of financial services available to students in Southeast Asia, he partnered with a friend in 2013 to start Zomia. Zomia is a crowdfunding platform that facilitates life-changing higher education loans for students from marginalized communities in Southeast Asia. Zomia is Kirk's first company and to date it's facilitated loans valued at over $230,000 to 64 students in Myanmar, Cambodia, and Thailand.
