Jamini roy Inspired Art Mother's Day Program to promote bonding through art! Join now to avail offer limited to 15 May 2017. 4 sessions at $180/- (UP $200/-)
Jamini studied the British academic style of painting and became well-known for his portraits. However, in his quest for an Indian identity, he rebelled, and his rebellion coincided with a wave of nationalism in Bengal against the British, from whom India gained independence in 1947.
He sought inspiration from East Asian calligraphy, terracotta temple friezes and craft traditions.Roy portrayed rural scenes, ordinary people, animals and cults of the time and place.

In this workshop participants can create a piece of art inspired by the style of Jamini roy and his famous art works. The art of Jamini Roy is inspired by both traditional Indian folk and village arts & western methods of painting. Strokearts Stuydio is delighted to conduct these set of workshops to explore the mother and child concept that greatly influenced Jamini roy. Participating in the workshop will provide perfect bonding through art experience for all participants!
