SWIMMA #7 - Changing Marketer Profile

For our first SWIMMA in 2017 (sorry, been busy!) we'll be trialing hosting the event at Google, although the format will be similar - catered, everybody pays for themselves. As this is via corporate catering, we are charging a flat price of $100 including admin fees (payable via PayPal or AMEX)

For this event, I wanted to look at how the role of the marketeer has changed over the last few years, and who better to demonstrate that but Google.

When we talk marketing and business transformation, we often talk about the changes in consumer expectations and how a brand needs to be present in the moment, with the right message to engage that consumer. One of the biggest drivers of this change in consumer behaviour and the marketer response to that behaviour is Google. Join Jenn Villalobos as she takes us through the transformation journey of the Traditional Travel marketeer and how other industries can learn from how this industry has grown and prospered out of disruption.

About Jenn:
Jenn Villalobos heads up the Travel & Hospitality business for Google APAC. This includes Airlines, Hotels and Destination Marketing Organisations. She has more than 16 years of experience in digital marketing and creative strategy and is particularly passionate about transforming the business landscape in developing markets like SEA and Hispanic LATAM, where traditional travel holds more than 70% of the overall Market Share. Jenn holds a degree in Mass Communications and Journalism from the Central University of Venezuela, a Masters in Information Technology from Wollongong University, and an MBA from The University of NSW.

ABOUT SWIMMA - Singapore Women in Media, Marketing, Advertising
A semi-regular invitation only catch up of senior female marketing, agency and media executives with regional responsibility at their companies and / or experienced entrepreneurs. The mission of the group is to develop relationships, expand our networks beyond our own verticals and learn about how other businesses operate in the region.

Typically, the event features a presentation about a business or industry issue and all attendees contribute to the discussion to make it a true knowledge exchange. The event operates under the Chatham House Rule, meaning participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.

SWIMMA is a non-sponsored event and each guest takes care of their individual costs via pre-payment which confirms attendance.
