With over 1000 species and 2000 hybrids on display, the beauty of these gorgeous blooms is absolutely a sight to behold.Tour highlights include the Bandstand, sculptures in the Gardens, the Heritage Trees, the Misthouse's rare, unique & award winning orchids, and Burkhill Hall with its prized collection of VIP orchids such as Dendrobium Margaret Thatcher and Papilionanda William Catherine. The tour will end with a visit to its Heritage Museum which features artefacts, plant specimens, rare botanical books and botanical paintings that date back to the early 19th century. Here you will learn about the key personalities that have shaped and marked this iconic place.Small Group Walking tours have a maximum of 10 participants but also need a minimum number of 7 to go ahead; if we don't have enough people we will inform those who have registered (& refund their payment) by the evening before at the very latest. But we hope they will always run!!Please note that the cost of these tours is a little higher as we keep the number small. The quality will be however very high; see comments below from our last one at the end of January which was a prototype for this new series:"I would like to thank you for the tour yesterday, it’s been a wonderful morning!
