Born in Singapore, she is one of the most exciting pioneer young harpists in Singapore and is currently based in London. Fontane’s ability to engage the masses across a variety of styles makes her unique as a solo artist with Live Music Now, Concordia Foundation, concert series Bach to Baby and NonClassical. She is currently principal harpist of the Octandre Ensemble, London. Fontane has a passion for improvisation, specifically tailored to the audience.Veda Lin, oboeVeda attained both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, as well as Konzertexamen from the Folkwang Universität der Kunst in Essen. A versatile musician who plays the baroque oboe, the piano and sings, she now plays mother to toddler twin girls as well.During her time in Europe, she has made several concerto appearances and also given solo recitals in the Crush Room Covent Garden, Winchester Festival, and was the Special Prize Winner in the Barbirolli International Oboe Competition in 2009. Her orchestral engagements include seasons with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie and the Orquestra Classica da Madeira (Portugal), as well as freelance work with the Singapore Symphony, Malaysian and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestras. Since her return to Singapore in 2012, Veda is proud to be a founding member of award-winning Singaporean wind quintet EDQ. She was also adjunct faculty at SOTA and NAFA between 2012 and 2014, and also dedicates her time to being a committee member of The Philharmonic Orchestra.
