Both the team and the leader can feel uncomfortable in these uncharted waters and resist needed change. Adaptive leadership helps leaders successfully overcome these discomforts, rise to the demands of leadership, uncover how they hold themselves and their teams back.Combining with Immunity to Change, leaders explore theirs and their teams’ assumptions, feelings and personal beliefs about a particular change process and better understand how their teams may be sabotaging their own efforts, a natural defense against perceived threats. Such internal investigation provides leaders a framework to lead, coach and support their teams more effectively, and to overcome deep-seated, individual challenges.
