You can sign up for one or both tours through this link at a promo rate of $25 ,or at our registration counter at La Bussola Restaurant (5B Portsdown Rd) for $30. Please note each tour is restricted to a maximum of 15 people.Our 2 hour walking tours will bring you to different parts of the lovely Wessex Estate and you will get to step into the studios of the artists housed there. You will see a range of artworks - ceramics, paintings, photography, abstract works, charcoal works, works inspired by nature/Peranakan tiles - the selection and diversity is amazing. We'll have a nice slow walk between the studios, allowing a view of the Queenstown estate, including the old railway crossing, to look at the few remaining SIT (Singapore Improvement Trust) flats in the nearby Tanglin Halt estate, and to hear the stories of two different estates, so near yet so different.Tour (I) : Drawings, Prints, Tiles25th & 26th Mar, 11.30am-1.30pm or 2.30-4.30pmOn this tour, you will explore Westbourne and Whitchurch Road area where several of the B&W houses and a few apartments are clustered. You may wonder who once lived there? What was life like? Find out a bit about old Wessex. You will also visit 3 studio and view artworks in different mediums – textile and rice paper works inspired by tiles, photographic creations, unique mirror creations, charcoal and pencil drawings, watercolours. Take the opportunity to speak to artists about their inspirations and creations.Tour (II) : Ceramics, Paints, Abstract25th & 26th Mar, 11.30am-1.30pm or 2.30-4.30pmOn this tour, you will find out about the cluster of 26 colonial apartment blocks around Woking/Westbourne Road. Discover how these blocks got their names such as Flanders, Namur etc. You will visit 2 studios, but see the works of 4 artists who brings you a range of their creations – ceramics, paintings, abstract art. Enjoy the chance to speak with the artists or feel free to purchase any art piece that catches your eye.
