Well, believe it or not some people manage it, and MAKE Digital are back with three inspiring speakers to tell you more about how they use digital to make the remote working dream their reality. Our second event will focus on exploring whether the digital nomad is in fact a fad or fo' real. We are aiming to ignite a conversation around how to earn an income independent of geography. No fixed desks. No lanyards. No 7am calls (okay, maybe not - depends what you do, nomad!) She published her first book, 'Lost Guides - Bali', after travelling extensively around the island, and her second book dedicated to Singapore will be out next month.Having given up the corporate 9 - 5 for a life less ordinary, Anna will be sharing how she is making her desk-free dream a reality through canny crowdfunding and artful social media. What is MAKE Digital? MAKE Digital is a collective started by two young makers working in digital who want to change the way we connect, create and collaborate in Singapore. Fed up with expensive networking nights and empty "business" exchanges we are creating a movement that focuses on genuine knowledge transfer and meaningful conversations. We'd love you for you to join us. Our concept is simple: inspiring speakers; collaborative groups; informal atmosphere; powered by digital.Three rapidfire talks (with PowerPoint banned!) give a range of perspectives and experiences for you to learn from. Once the talks have concluded we will open up to a Q&A session. If you’re too shy to ask something out loud then don’t stress, following this will be a breakout briefing. We'll split you up into smaller groups and focus on one key area you're interested in to pull apart and discuss. There will be no boring icebreakers like “Hi my name is X and I do Y” – instead we get right into the nitty gritty with our facilitators and speakers to guide you along.
