The Community of Practice (CoP) for Business Leaders, organised by Align Group and supported by Singapore Business Federation (SBF), explores various themes related to people management. It provides key insights and learnings for business leaders to leverage on HR to achieve organisational goals, consistent with the modern role of HR as a key business partner.

Loh Oun Hean - Senior HR Business Partner, Align Group

Oun Hean is a highly experienced Human Resource and Industrial Relations leader, whose career spanned over 30 years with key appointments in Ministry of Manpower, Maybank, Singapore Airlines and Deloitte Southeast Asia. Following his corporate appointments, he has been providing advisory and training services to numerous organizations. He has extensive, both strategic and hands-on, experience in a wide range of topics including industrial relations, HR management, framework design and change management.

Charlie Ang - Founding President, The Innovators Institute

Charlie is a Business Futurist whose specialty is in analysing, foreseeing and explaining the impact of technologies on the future of the economy, industries, companies, education and jobs. A Future of Work expert, his thought leadership and insights have been featured extensively in various media, publications and conferences. He received his MBA from the NUS Business School and BSc (First Class) Honours in Computer Science from University of Manchester, UK. Charlie completed futures and innovation executive programmes at Singularity University in Silicon Valley, Oxford University’s Said Business School and Stanford University.

Lawrence Yong - Co-Founder & CEO, MoolahSense Pte Ltd

Lawrence is responsible for the strategic planning, overall management, and business development of MoolahSense. More than 12 years in the field, Lawrence had worked extensively in the financial services sector, acquiring a combination of front-to-back, buy- and sell-side experiences, particularly in the area of Fixed Income. He first graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours from the National University of Singapore in 2002. He then completed his Masters of Financial Engineering from the same university in 2010. Lawrence also holds the designations of Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).

Jae Teo Wei Yan, Sales & Marketing Manager, Royal Vending Pte Ltd

Jae joined her family’s vending machines business in 2013 after one year working for an MNC bank. As Sales & Marketing Manager, not only does she oversee the selling of advertisement spaces on her company’s vending machines, she has created and spearheads an Entre-Vending Program that enables brand owners to leverage vending machines as retail channels. Despite her young age, she has passionately pioneered various lifestyle vending machines in Singapore that makes it convenient for people to purchase things like cosmetics, magazines, T-Shirts, slippers and, the latest in the news – army accessories. Jae graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration from NUS majoring in Marketing.

Target Audience: Business leaders and SME owners.
