Small children love to move and they're just discovering what their bodies are capable of. During this class we want to help them explore that safely and push the boundaries of their body control and awareness. To do so, we're borrowing concepts from capoeira, a Brazilian martial art that is known for its dance-like flow. Children will move, roll, kick, jump, sway and even go back to crawling in different forms to fine tune those motor skills and maybe even become capoeiristas some day. What else do children love as much as moving? Making some noise! So to make it more fun, we're throwing in a little bit of rhythm, which is core to capoeira too. We have a variety of percussion instruments from around the world, including traditional Brazilian drums and capoeira shakers. Both demo classes will run from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Dance Studio 1 at PATH ACME ACADEMY.Please sign up for one demo class only, thank you!Note: Demo class is not mandatory. If you already know that you want to sign up for the term, go ahead and purchase your package!PRICINGThe demo classes are only $7!The full term of classes (7 classes from 25 Feb until 8 Apr 2017) costs $220. The classes will be conducted by Professor Pitbull from Capoeira Senzala Singapore who has over 20 years of experience in teaching capoeira to both adults and children in Brazil, US, Europe and SEA.The course is for children aged 3 years old to 5 years old (i.e. those born between March 2012 and February 2014). Please note that we have a separate class for children younger than 3.We require the parents to accompany the children for the first couple of classes. After that it is up to you and your child to decide if they are ready to take the class on their own. We welcome all caregivers (e.g. parents, grandparents, nannies, helpers).No uniform is required, but both children and adults should wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movements (e.g. t-shirts, shorts, leggings).
