On Saturday, 11th February 2017, Oxwell & Co will be hosting a fundraiser for Juliet and Elsa Recordon. In March 2014 Juliet Recordon was diagnosed with early-stage cervical cancer. After extensive treatment and surgery she was given the all clear, and a year later she fell pregnant with baby Elsa. But 23 weeks into her pregnancy her waters broke and she was rushed to hospital where she developed an infection that led to Elsa contracting meningitis after being born at 25 weeks. Just when things could not get any worse, Juliet's cancer returned and she was diagnosed with stage 4B and given only six months to live. Two years have passed since that day and Juliet continues to fight hard for her life and for precious time with her daughter Elsa, who requires constant care and hospital treatment for complications arising from her premature birth. Unfortunately, the treatment for Juliet and Elsa has come at a huge financial cost, and they now face a situation where treatment is desperately needed but insurance companies will no longer cover them and the family’s savings have long since been exhausted. Oxwell & Co invites you to join us for an evening of fundraising, culminating in a charity auction, where every penny will go straight to the ongoing medical treatment of Juliet and Elsa. After a long and courageous fight with cancer, Juliet has tragically passed away on the 23rd January.
